One of her recent works was the collaboration with Zac Posen, who fashioned his RTW collections for Vakko under the private label of Zac Posen @ Vakko. Apart from the launching event of this collaboration, she masterminded a Grand Classics ceremony hosted by the legendary cinematic force, Daniel Day-Lewis. In 2007, Muftuoglu helped oversee the organisation of the gala night of the Luxury Conference held in Istanbul hosted by Suzy Menkes.

Muftuoglu also styles the seasonal campaign shootings of Vakko, all photographed by the Turkish movie director Alphan Eseli. They have been working with some of the most respected models around the world for the last couple of seasons such as Gisele Bündchen, Jessica Stam, Erin Wasson, Heidi Mount and Olivier Martinez. She commissioned Rex Architects in New York to create the new VAKKO HQ building which went on to win the Wallpaper Best Workspace of the Year in 2010.

Demet Muftuoglu is the co-founder of the ISTANCOOL - Istanbul International Festival of Culture founded by Liberatum in partnership with Istanbul'74. Jefferson Hack of AnOther Magazine collaborates on this festival which features some of the world's most iconic creative minds and their Turkish counterparts. In 2011, Muftuoglu and Liberatum joined forces to present the Stephen Jones 'Accent of Fashion' MoMu Hats Retrospective at the Vakko Fashion Centre.
